THINKBIKE

abgc (that’s 2 people) have almost a dozen different bicycles between us, so we had a lot of love to bring to the table when given the opportunity to reimagine this existing bike store.

This interior fit-out for this long established Rathmines retailer is focused on customer experience, including simplifying the shopfront to focus on product, increasing and streamlining the display and providing a bright compact changing area.

All the stores repairs are now undertaken around the corner in the workshop but, as new bikes are still assembled and tuned here, we incorporated a mini workshop as the backdrop for the customer till area, bringing the fixing and servicing of bicycles to centrestage.

We complemented the new layout with bespoke furniture items: a floor to ceiling wheel display tower, a polished concrete counter incorporating classic bicycle components, and a combined customer bike stand (why doesn’t every bike shop have one?) and bench which we built ourselves in our own workshop.

Service included full interior design, specification, site inspections, merchandising and graphics.

You can visit the store here.
